Today started out slow. I didn't get sleep again and so I slept late and missed the hostel breakfast. No biggie, I still have cheese and bread left over! I have yet to try real Turkish food because I don't want to go to a restaurant by myself, so I went to the Dia, a small grocery store and bought some bread, apples, and what I guessed to be cheese. Don't worry, it is. (There's no english writing on anything) I think I will try some street food later tonight. Shiima was saying it's cheap and delicious. There are some older men down by the Bosphorus that make these yummy looking sandwiches on their wheeled around grills.
I decided I wanted to see the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, so I walked there. Not my best idea. It was a really long walk, but I found a lot of shops along the way that sold the typical rugs, jewelry, plates, and hanging lamps. The two mosques are gorgeous! I decided to wait though and not go into the Hagia Sofia today though because it costs. I'll do it eventually. I started to go into the Blue Mosque because it is free, but I was wearing shorts and a tshirt and women have to cover before going there. I'll do that another day as well. I did get to go into the courtyard area, which was really pretty. I decided to take the metro back. It was crowded and reminded me of the buses in Rome... not fun. I made it back alive though!
